On July 13, 2022, Well 55-623670 was turned on and it began pumping air within an hour of operation which vapor locked the pump that pressurizes the hydropnuenamtic tank. On July 22, 2022, Drill Tech Drilling and Pump Inc. inspected the well and determined the pump was not submerged enough causing the air problem with the piping severely corroded. Once the well was repaired and disinfected, further investigative sampling was conducted and determine the well was not the likely cause of the bacti positives in the distribution system.
After further investigation on August 9th, a leak at Buckhorn Rd and Bobcat Dr scheduled for repair was determined to be a transmission line which is a likely cause of the distribution system bacteriological contamination. While adequate pressure has been maintained in the distribution system, the water is pumped through transmission line to the west tanks only part of each day |
