1. The baffled pressure filter may be shredding the floc. The operator stated that the turbidity taken at the storage tank is typically around 2.0-4.0 NTU.
2. The operator does not have access to an Operations and Maintenance manual and has been operating the system according to instructions that were provided by the previous operator.
3. There was no diversion channel to divert surface water away from spring collection area.
4. The overflow pipe was not protected with a #16 non-corrodible mesh screen.
5. Concrete was deteriorating on the inside of the spring chambers possibly allowing the inflow of surface water.
6. The spring lid was not fitted with a solid watertight cover with a rubber gasket that overlapped the framed operning and extended down around the frame at least two inches.
