TR REC Deficiency: Failure to provide a hypo-chlorinator as a means to disinfect the water. Technical Basis: Engineering Bulletin No.8 R9-8-210 GENERAL POLICY, PARAGRAPH B. All public and semi-public water systems shall obtain water from an approved source or sources¿ if water from any source is subject to contamination, adequate purification, disinfection, or both shall be carried out.. Recommendations:Install a hypo-chlorinator at the well to adequately provide a continuous free chlorine residual of 0.2 mg/l to 1.0 mg/l throughout the distribution system. 05-07-2020
SO REC Deficiency: Failure to properly install sampling tap on well. Technical Basis: Engineering Bulletin No.10 Chapter 3, G.1 SPECIAL VALVES AND APPURTENANCES.-A hose bib type sampling tap shall be provided on the system side of the check valve to allow water samples to be taken. Recommendations:Install a sampling tap on discharge pipe of the well. Installation of a non-threaded sampling tap is preferred. 05-07-2020
