OT SIG Routine monthly sampling for total coliform resulted in a total coliform positive (E. coli negative) on August 26 2022. On August 27, 2022 repeat/confirmation samples were collected per the Revised Total Coliform Rule. On August 28, 2022 we learned that the repeats samples were total coliform positive (e. coli negative). Investigative sampling indicated that the ground storage tanks were also total coliform positive with the source wells total coliform negative. Warm tank water and no system disinfection allowed bacteria to grow in the tanks which ultimately spread throughout the system. Disinfection was installed and chlorination was started on September 19, 2022 at 4:25 pm PST using 12.5% sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl). 09-22-2022 09-22-2022
