FW MIN Deficiency: Failure to properly install an air relief valve. Technical Basis: Per engineering Bulletin No. 10, Chapter 5, D.3. AIR RELIEF VALVE. An air relief valve should be provided in all air-charging pneumatic systems. The air relief valve shall be located at the low water level setting of the tank, unless alternative design concepts are provided. This function prevents excessive air from entering the distribution system in the event the water seal is lost. Recommendations:Install an air relief valve bleed line with the end of the pipe turned down. Install number 16 mesh wire screen on the end of the air relief valve bleed line to prevent insects, animals, or contaminants from entering. 03-25-2020
SO REC Deficiency: Failure to maintain a clean well site. Technical Basis: Snakes rodents and insects that dwell in debris and excess vegetation can carry contaminants and diseases that could seep into a well during precipitation events. Recommendation:Remove all debris and excess vegetation from the well site to minimize inhabitation of snakes, insects, and rodents. 03-25-2020
