Per engineering Bulletin No. 10, Chapter 3, G.2. WELL VENTS
All wells shall be equipped with a vent, terminate at least 2 feet above the protective slab
and covered with a number 16 mesh screen.
Corrective Action:
Install a new well vent with pipe end turned down. |

Minor Deficiency #1: The existing sanitary well seal is corroded, the well casing is not properly
sealed and there are cracks in the concrete slab.
Technical Basis:
Per engineering Bulletin No. 10, Chapter 2, E.9. SANITARY WELL SEAL AND SLAB
A sanitary well seal with an approved vent shall be installed at the top of the well casing
to prevent contaminated water or other material from entering the well.
Corrective Action:
Install new steel plate(s) on well casing. Seal all openings and cracks found on the well slab. |
